Transit LPG, the environmentally friendly Van
AVOID
CONGESTION CHARGE
Gastech’s
fully developed LPG system for the Ford Transit Van is
approved by Transport for London and qualifies for 100%
Congestion Charge discount (Saving up to £2016 per
year, based on £8 per
chargeable day - excluding Bank Holidays).
Following our approved conversion, the required certificate
of conformity is supplied to the customer. They can then,
with our assistance if required, complete the necessary Congestion
Charge Registration form and send it to Transport for London.

Lower
fuel Bills
The retail price of LPG (Autogas) is approximately half
the price of diesel or petrol. This is because the tax
is far
lower for LPG in recognition of its environmental benefits,
and also because it is produced as a by-product of oil
extraction and refining operations. The UK produces a
surplus of LPG
each year.
Many fleets also have their own filling facility which
further reduces the cost of LPG
Ease
of use
The conversion leaves the petrol system of the Transit
intact. An additional, separate LPG fuel system is added
creating
a Dual fuel vehicle. A
Switch is installed inside the vehicle’s cabin, and
although Gastech’s LPG Systems are fully automated,
this offers the driver the ability to manually change
from LPG to petrol use.

Petrol CO2 is 20.3% more than LPG
Diesel CO2 is 1.8% more than LPG
Cleaner Emissions (Air Quality)
20 LPG vehicles emit less NOX than 1 diesel vehicle
120 LPG vehicles emit less fine particles than 1 diesel
vehicle

LPG System servicing requirements
Our Ford Transit LPG installations require servicing
at 12,500 miles/12 months, whichever is sooner, this
is carried
out
via our network of service engineers.

All
new Ford Transit LPG conversions carried out by Gastech
come complete with
an insurance-backed parts and labour
warranty covering not only the LPG system, but also
associated items.
This
warranty is 3years/100,000miles and runs parallel with
the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty.
